"My mother was a resident at Dove House for 2 years and was always treated with respect and dignity by the caring, considerate staff.
There's a lovely homely atmosphere at Dove House and it really is a 'home from home', making my mother's stay there exceptionally happy and settled.
We can't speak highly enough of the wonderful staff and would recommend Dove House to everyone."S

"My sister and I visited Dove House and it felt right as soon as we walked through the door, such a warm, comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. We had long discussions with Kath, her staff, and met residents. We knew this was a suitable place for Dad, where he would be safe and well cared for.
The setting of Dove House is excellent. For ambulant residents it is within easy walking distance of Ashbourne town centre, but for less able people, the community bus offers a good service. Another bonus is the garden – shielded by mature trees with a large lawn and terrace, just the place to enjoy warm sunny days. Several bedrooms open out onto the terrace and many residents encourage wildlife by feeding birds. The main living areas overlook the garden. Activities are encouraged – craft sessions, sing-alongs, parties, coach outings – all aimed at making a cohesive community.
Eventually Dad had to go into hospital; it was obvious he was not going to recover but, with the help of Kath, he was transferred back to Dove House, where he died peacefully. I can never thank Kath and her staff enough for all their support – I really don’t know how we would have managed without their unstinting help."

"Dove House provided a safe home for my aunt when she lost her sight and was getting frail. She had been a single lady all her life and was used to doing things "her way". The staff tended to all her needs cheerfully and discreetly. She had never been interested in food but relished the meals at Dove House. We were always made very welcome on our regular visits (which were usually unannounced) and the Home was always clean, warm and comfortable. She very much appreciated her light en-suite room - and the lift! As we live 130 miles away the staff kept us up-to-date with my aunt's progress whenever necessary, so that we had peace of mind about the welfare of a fragile elderly lady."
